New Guardian Interview with McWhirter about AR-15

Following the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump by a man with an AR-15, The Guardian spoke with Cameron McWhirter, coauthor of American Gun: The True Story of the AR-15, about the complicated politics and history of the AR-15, following the attempted assassination at a rally in Pennsylvania.

“A gun that his party has touted, someone just used it to try to kill him,” McWhirter told the Guardian. “Will that change things? I think we’re all sort of wondering.”
