Two-Year Anniversary of Buffalo Grocery Store Shooting with AR-15

On May 14, 2022, a white racist determined to kill Black people opened fire in a Buffalo grocery store and killed ten people. In his lengthy disturbed writings that he released just before the shooting, he spewed racist hate, but also described in great detail why he wanted an AR-15 to commit his crimes. As detailed in American Gun: The True Story of the AR-15, the shooter had such a sick admiration for the AR-15 that he wrote, “This is what God thought of when he sent Eugene Stoner to design and manufacture the M16 and AR-15.” He pleaded guilty and received a life sentence for state charges, and now awaits a federal death penalty trial.
